Disciple II facilitated by John Godbey and Rev. Sandra Locke-Godbey
CLASS IS NOW FULL!
DISCIPLE: INTO THE WORD INTO THE WORLD is the second study in the four-phase Disciple program and is prepared for those who are graduates of DISCIPLE I. This study proclaims the transforming power of Scripture while teaching Bible study skills that take participants deeper into the Scripture. The importance of keeping Bible study related to witness is reinforced while participants are encouraged to practice spiritual disciplines arising out of Scripture for the purpose of changing habits and transforming lives. This is a 32-week study requiring independent study at home in preparation for a weekly group meeting. Each member of the class will need a study manual and a Bible.
Welcome to Disciple II, ”Into the Word, Into The World.“ What a wonderful journey to study together and share the Word of God! And we are ready to grow with you on this journey. This is such a commitment to study the Word each day and meet together once a week. We will have our organizational meeting on Wednesday, September 7 at 6p.m. in the Minister’s Conference Room. Please be prepared to share your favorite Bible verse or story and the reason it speaks to you. It is so exciting to grow in a deeper relationship with our Holy God and with one another. What an honor to facilitate Disciple II.
John and I work well together. We are two different personalities with two different ways of studying Disciple II. It can be very interesting! We are excited to meet you and to begin this special journey with you.
God’s Peace, John Godbey & Sandra Locke-Godbey

Final Words From the Cross by Adam Hamilton
Lenten Study Starting on February 15!
In life and in death, Jesus’ words were powerful and meaningful. Despite the serious effort and increased pain required for Jesus to speak as he hung on the cross, Jesus spoke seven ”final words“—statements that have much to teach us about Jesus, his Father, and ourselves. Now in this inspiring follow-up to 24 Hours That Changed the World, Hamilton explores these final words as seen and heard through the eyes and ears of those who stood near the cross. Join the crowd now and experience the final words from the cross.
This class will be taught by John Coon and Jack Ozier. Cost of the book is $10.
This class will meet in the Courtyard Conference Room from 6:00 – 7:00p.m. beginning Wednesday, February 15th.
