Worship Opportunities
"Raising Kids in the Love and Grace of God."
"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
John 4:23-24
Children's Minute
The Children's Minute (the children's story time) is a special time for the children during the Church hour. At the conclusion of the children's minute, children 2nd grade and younger leave the service for Children's Church activities in the children's wing. Children who wish to do so are always very welcome to remain with their families in the sanctuary. Children's Worship Kits and Children's Bulletins are available for each service. We want our children to feel welcomed as a very special part of God's family in worship. With these two resources, children feel an added sense of ownership and belonging - "Worship is for me, too!"
Children's Church
11:00 a.m. Service
Ages: 3 years - 2nd Grade
Children attend the early part of the worship service with their families. Following the children's sermon, children are invited to leave with their teachers for a time of worship designed just for them in the Noah's Ark Children's Worship Room.
Acolyte Training
Our 3rd - 6th grade students are eligible to become acolytes. We offer our training in September. During this training they learn how important their job is in worship through the symbolism of bringing in the Light of Christ at the beginning of the service, and taking the Light of Christ back out into the world at the end of the service. During this training, they learn to honor the Cross of Christ and the Bible. In order to be an Acolyte they must know The Lord’s Prayer, The Apostle’s Creed, Gloria Patrai, and the Doxology. Our Acolytes are important to us because they set the tone of worship and may perform other duties during worship. After they have completed their training, they are recognized in a special service called the ”Commissioning Service,“ which is usually held in September.
Palm Sunday
On Palm Sunday, the children in the church carry and wave the Palms as they walk down the center aisle and place them at the foot of the altar.
Worship Through Song
Our children's choirs worship God through song by occasionally singing in our services and they perform a Christmas program every year.
Bible Blast

Every year we present our 3rd graders with a new Bible. It begins with four weeks of Bible training and ends on a Saturday called Bible Blast. The children have breakfast and a review of what they have learned over the past four weeks and play Bible games. The Sunday after Bible Blast the children receive their Bibles in the 11:00 service.
