Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is held every summer for toddlers through 5th graders. Much planning and preparation goes into the program, which is learning-center based. Children have fun in learning through crafts, munchies, a movie, Bible stories, games, and much more! The Vacation Bible School program is typically held for one week between the hours of 9:00 - 11:30 a.m., with lunch following for our Vacation Bible School workers and their children. We find this to be a great time of fellowship and learning for all!
FUMC's Vacation Bible School is free of charge. We are one of the only churches in the area to offer programs for toddlers as well as for three-year-olds. Children are encouraged to bring their friends and make the most of this exciting week.

PandaMania 2011

This year we learned that God is wild about us. Through crafts, Bible stories, snacks, movies, games, and more, we learned that God watches over us and listens to us. We heard about Jonah and the whale, Elijah's altar to God, the creation story, and so much more. We are "not forgotten" and God tells us so!

High Seas Expedition 2010

This year children set sail on the rolling seas of God's love. Together we learned how God's Word is true, comforting, surprising, life-changing, and "for everyone" through stories and activities. We heard about how God freed Peter from prison, comforted Paul in a storm at sea, saved Paul from a poisonous snake bite, and so much more! We also worked on two wonderful mission projects.
Thank you to everyone who participated!

The children who participated in our VBS had the opportunity to make clay crosses for Babies First in Birmingham, part of the United Methodist Children's Home. We hope the crosses will serve as an inspiration and guiding light to all of the mothers and children at Babies First. To learn more about Babies First, click HERE.
