The Pastor's Covenant Class - Parlor
Our Pastor, Dr. Terry Greer and his wife, Lisa, lead this class. The class is targeted to the 30’s and 40’s age range, but anyone is welcome. The class recently finished studying Max Lucado’s Life Lessons and beginning Sunday, July 24th, Dr. Greer will teach a ten week course on Methodist beliefs.
Sojourners - Room 220
For all ages, this class is designed for study, prayer, discussion, and shared leadership. This class uses a variety of Biblical and spiritual resources for literature.
Adams - Room 225
Taught by Charles Adams, this class studies a variety of challenging subjects from the Christian perspective. The class is currently studying The Purpose Driven Life. Both couples and singles in the 55-65 age range attend this class.
New Dimensions - Room 306
Primarily a couples class (45-55 age range), New Dimensions studies a variety of scripture oriented subjects and books. The class is currently using the International Lesson Series for their study material. Lessons are discussion based, with class members and outside speakers rotating teaching responsibilities.
Louise Robinson Class - Room 231
This Ladies Class for ages 70 and up studies the International Lesson Series with four teachers rotating teaching responsibilities.
Harris Lend-A-Hand - Room 222
An all men’s class (ages 70 and up), this class enjoys a time of singing and fellowship, followed by a lesson taught from the International Lesson Series.
Wesley - Room 221
Both couples and singles enjoy this class that uses the International Lesson Series. Singing and a class devotion precede class lessons.
Genesis - Room 227
One of two singles classes at FUMC, this discussion class is taught by class members and uses a variety of literature including the International Lesson Series. All singles of all ages are invited to be a part of this fellowship.
Seekers - Room 228
Several teachers rotate leading discussions from the International Lesson Series for this group. The age range of the class is 60 and over, including both singles and couples.
The Upper Room Class - Room 305
This class provides study on a variety of topics from everyday issues to in-depth Bible Study for couples in the 30 to 40 age range. Class members rotate teaching responsibilities.
FaithFinders - Room 219
Debbie Heard teaches this class, which welcomes singles and couples of all ages. The class is discussion based and focuses on a broad range of theological and spiritual issues.
Challengers - Room 108
This group (age 65-up) carefully selects literature for in-depth discussion and investigation. Teaching responsibilities are rotated among class members.
Young Adult Class -
This class is for singles and married couples in their 20s and early 30s. The class is discussion based and focuses on issues relevant to this age group from a Biblical and Christian perspective.
Short-term Sunday School classes are offered periodically with emphasis on a particular area such as spiritual gifts or journaling. Members may join any of these that interest them and then return to their regular Sunday School classes.
