Hilltoppers is a Christian fellowship group for senior adults, age fifty and older. We are an active, dynamic fellowship who enjoy benefits of Christian community. There are no membership fees, and you may attend as many or as few activities as you wish. We go on day trips, overnight activities, and even longer tours. We try to provide activities for both active retirees and those with a more sedentary lifestyle. The best way to learn about us is to join us! Below is a brief outline of our 2007-2008 calendar. Why not pick out some activities and put them on your calendar?

A Statement of Faith On Aging
We affirm that God is our Creator, the giver of life, who calls us into a divine-human fellowship, and who continually challenges us to new possibilities.
We believe that we are under the providential care of God from birth to death.
We affirm our faith in Jesus Christ, who makes all things new and who offers life and hope to people of all ages on their continuing pilgrimage of faith.
We affirm our belief in the Holy Spirit as God’s presence with us for comfort, guidance, and strength.
Confident of the Divine Presence in our life, we are called to face the gains and losses of advancing years as opportunities for spiritual understanding and growth.
- Adapted from “The Theological Response,” Statement on Aging, General Board of Global Ministries, The United Methodist Church
Mission StatementThe Hilltoppers group recognizes that we are called by God to be faithful Christian disciples, willing to share our faith, wisdom, and knowledge with persons of every age and stage in life. As older adults, we have much to teach, much to learn, and are interdependent upon persons of all ages. We recognize aging as a natural progression in life and a part of God’s Good Gift to Life. The Hilltoppers group lifts up the needs and concerns of older adults and is committed to providing a church environment where the wisdom, skills, experience, and faith of midlife and older adults is developed and fully utilized.
